Mission

The Morelands group was established in 2021 with the mission of preserving, protecting, and advocating for the historic residential apartment corridor of the Shaker Square community of Cleveland, Ohio, by engaging tenants, owners, and managers in the vibrant life of this landmark neighborhood.

The name reflects our area of focus: North and South Moreland Boulevards which intersect with Shaker Boulevard to define Shaker Square. The walkable blocks around the Square are home to over eighty historic apartment buildings with more than 2,000 units of housing.

We meet regularly on the first and third Tuesdays of the month at the Welcome Center of Shaker Square (SE quadrant next to Shaker Sq Animal Hospital). All are welcome.
